Kessi Engineering and Consulting was founded as a civil engineering and planning firm in 2008 with the goal to provide its clients across the Pacific Northwest with superior customer service. James Kessi, P.E., is a licensed professional engineer in Washington and Oregon with over 20 years of varied experience in civil engineering and land development. He is a former director of engineering projects/partner at Moss & Associates, Inc. a civil engineering and land use planning firm for over 6 years. Kessi was involved in helping obtain preliminary plat approval or final engineering approval for thousands of single-family residential lots. Kessi’s experience included managing, planning, design, and completion of a variety of civil engineering projects including as commercial site plans, rezones, Planned Unit Developments, Conditional Use Permits, and environmental, wetland, habitat, stream, and geotechnical related permitting projects in jurisdictions including Clark County, Vancouver, Camas, Washougal, Ridgefield, Battleground, La Center, Cowlitz County, Scappoose, and St. Helens, Oregon.
Kessi Engineering and Consulting has also worked as a development engineer for both the City of Vancouver and Clark County, developing valuable hands-on knowledge of local public agencies staff and policies. Kessi Engineering and Consulting can assist clients in selecting and managing sub-consultants specialists for project related traffic concurrency, environmental, wetlands, habitat, NPDES, legal issues, and shoreline permitting.
